1) Provide leadership while serving.  This will be demonstrated with a commitment to a family-friendly environment, honesty, hard work, and community values all while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

2) Efficiently utilize our city services to best serve the citizens and businesses of our community. This involves determining how to best invest tax dollars in the budget process for the good of all involved.  Productivity saves tax dollars, provides for a less stressful work environment and allows for better overall services for our citizens.

3) Continuing development of the new “downtown area” should be a priority.  As has been demonstrated, adding this property back into the tax base through development will be good for all taxing bodies within East Peoria.  Providing a climate to attract good businesses will in turn attract good jobs.

4) Encourage economic development in all areas of the City. Development provides jobs, grows the tax base, and helps all taxing bodies within the city and the region.  The city should work to provide small business loans while working with our Chamber of Commerce to attract and facilitate new businesses wanting to locate in East Peoria.

5) Lower the property tax rate.  Increases in city sales tax revenue and new growth is key to making this possible.  As sales tax receipts and other revenues increase, tax relief for property owners is made possible.

6) Improve EastSide Centre. The goal is to provide an improved year-round, revenue-producing facility that will have greater access and options for local residents while providing a quality of life aspect for our growing community.

7) Encourage the development of a new theater/performing arts amphitheater.  This type of facility will prove to be an asset to our community and region.
